Parts Are Purchased

So what I've been doing over the last few days: As it turns out the books are very good for a lot of things, but the reality is that while the parts are clearly spelled out there is an appendix that is often referred within the text that is no longer available. Unfortunately it is that appendix that is supposed to tell the reader exactly what the parts are, where to get them and what to expect to pay for them. Those things are to be found throughout the book but the reader has to search them out and note them down for themselves. I wrote to the author about this and he very nicely told me that I needed to look in the book for that info. So I finally broke down and did exactly that. I have now purchased the parts and expect to have them within the next few days. Weather permitting I will make the installation on my car (a '97 Honda Civic) very soon.

I will begin posting my mileage pre-installation shortly. - I will do this over the course of several occasions of filling up, driving and then refilling to document specifics. I will make these measurements as accurate as possible including the type of driving I am doing as well as traffic and weather conditions.

Once I have made the installation I will continue measuring fuel consumption for as many fill-ups as seems appropriate after that - continuing my documentation by posting that information here - good or bad. That's what this is all about. At this point I suppose the sheen is off the apple, and I'm not as excited about all of this as I was to begin with, but that could easily change with experience.

I'll let you know.

Oh yeah - here's that picture of Edison I promised you.

A few days later...

As promised here's an image of Edison and another of his famous patent for the first electric lamp (bulb). To continue my report: I've now move along to the point were I am going to be purchasing the various items on the list and will begin construction as soon as I have a break in my studies. I do have a rather grueling schedule this year -but I expect the have a bit of time in the next few days - so I'll let you know what happens. Also I think that once I understand how to properly build the central component I will begin to create a video demonstrating how to go
about the process in the best and most effective way. Until my next posting please be patient because you know that...I'll be back.

Day 8

Yes, yes I know - a few days have passed without a post, but I've been reading this material and as I mentioned before there's a lot of it (all good). I just sent a copy of it to my dad who has a real knack for getting to the core of stuff like this and he and I will be able to compare notes etc.

You may be asking yourself what do the images of Tesla have to do with all of this really, and the answer is absolutely nothing, but let's face it the images are cool and whether you believe all of the myth, combined liberally with reality, surrounding this guy or not, he was a great inventor who was given a very hard time by the the rich and powerful of his day including Edison. To be fair I'll find a nice image of Edison for the next posting.

Anyway to continue, I've also put the list of components together and will soon be making purchases. One of the very first things I intend to do is to identify places local to me where I can buy this stuff. It shouldn't be all that hard since I do live in NYC, and would like to support as many local stores and industries as possible. I certainly encourage everyone do do the same in their own communities. It just makes good sense, doesn't it?

One other thing is that I had a couple of direct questions about the material, so I asked for assistance through their support email link and received an answer within a few hours each time. I believe that customer service is one of the most important things that any business can offer. So in that area, at least, I'd give water4gas a 10 out of 10.

I continue to be interested and so far nothing being expressed in the Water4Gas books is anything but positive and informative.

More later.

Day 2

Wow there's a lot of material, but at least they have my attention. I do not have the feeling that I've been taken in - yet.

So far I do have this feeling like I might be joining a cult or at least a fringe group. Kidding, kidding - it's just that there's a lot of talk about suppressed technologies and Nikola Tesla. While I read through the stuff I have also been researching the subject and when one searches for water driven cars the name that comes up most is Steve Meyer. There's all kinds of stuff that can be found on the net that talks abut his work, and his brother who continues that work since the "mysterious" death of Steve a few years ago. There's plenty of video on uTube and radio blogs and writings of all kinds to be found. The only problem I have with this is that some of the information is delivered by rambling, slow talking good ol' guys named Bubba, or like that... But the think is thatI mean no offense by that - some of these guys are really, really bright, but it's difficult to hear what someone has to say when their frame of reference to the world is so different from your own. There will certainly be some people reading this thinking exactly the same thing about what I have to say. Such is life.

There is something really compelling about what I've purchased - aside from the information itself, and that it the way that it is offered as an open source - it would be very easy for me to simply give it to anyone I wanted to give it to. The download site is not locked in any way. I could send the link to anyone I wanted to. There aren't any rules telling or even asking me not to do it.

Still, if someone clicks on the link to the site that I provide at the bottom of each off these posts, and they buy the instructions - I'll make money on the sale - a cool 50%, but is that enough to stop me from just giving it away? Well, not if it turns out to be nothing but bull. . .

I continue to read. . .
